Vision Modern Firewood Holder

Technological advances in the manufacture of sheet glass have made this formerly brittle but useful material into something tough and strong. In fact, certain types of glass are strong enough to stop a bullet. It does not need to be that tough, though, for the glass used in the Vision Modern Firewood Holder.
This unique fireplace accessory eschews traditional materials used in the manufacture of firewood holders in favor of glass and polished steel rods. The arrangement of a few pieces of these materials results in a design that is both a work of art and a functional storage equipment.
Two tall glass sheets measuring almost 5 feet high and 20 inches wide, and spaced apart at approximately 8 inches stand with the help of a glass bottom shelf and three pairs of solid steel rods. The first pair supports the glass shelf at the bottom, the second is installed at about midway to the top, while the last pair is at the top. These stabilize the framework making it sufficiently strong to support fire logs. In addition to this function, the second set of rods also serves to hold the logs stored in the upper half.
Logs, which can have a diameter as large as 7 inches, should first be stored on the bottom shelf before stacking them on the second pair of steel rods for proper weight distribution and to avoid the possibility of the holder’s toppling over.
When the firewood holder is filled with cut logs, their natural colors and grains provide a pleasing sight. And because they are held by a clearly transparent glass, they look as if they are floating.
With the measurements of the Vision Modern Firewood Holder, its footprint is only slightly more than a square foot. Thus, apart from holding your logs and providing beautiful décor, it also saves space.
