The frame encloses a clear heat-resistant ceramic glass through which you can see the flames dancing among the Phazer log set. Right behind the doors are cast iron andirons of a traditional design. A sandstone brick panel can also be installed within the fireplace as an option to provide the look of real masonry.

Fuelled with natural gas, though it can be converted to use propane, the GSS42N has a heat output of 65,000 BTUs. Heat is controlled with an adjustable millivolt valve.
