Having a diameter of 28 inches and height of 25, the Genoa ALZ003 Copper Fire Pit is perfect for a small patio. It allows you with four or five of your friends to warm yourselves as you enjoy watching the moon and the stars on a cloudless wintry night, perhaps roasting hotdogs or marshmallows and making s’mores. Even if you are not burning logs in the fire bowl, it still makes a good decoration on your patio. And because of its size, you can easily pack it up and take it with you on your camping trips.

The fire pit is made of a copper bowl. While still new it has a reddish orange color but this changes over time into reddish brown. The change is hastened with the bowl’s exposure to damp conditions. Eventually, the copper is covered with a patina, a greenish layer resulting from corrosion. This, however, actually stops further corrosion and gives the bowl an attractive aged look.

The fire bowl is supported by a ring on a metal base that stands on four S-shaped legs, like a wrought iron design, each having two metal bars for greater strength. Bracing the legs is another ring fitted near their bottom which makes the fire pit steady and rigid. To protect the metal base from rust, it is powder coated with a black enamel that also gives it a certain luster.

A wood grate comes with the fire pit on which your logs can be placed allowing air to circulate around and even below them thus promoting burning. A high-domed spark screen is also included to protect you from sparks and cinders that may float from the fire. Owing to its height, you can pile more wood into the bowl for bigger flames.
